What Does Availability Look Like

When it comes to Mint flights, you have lots of opportunities despite the small travel window. We found options for flights from JFK to San Francisco SFO near the end of February for just over $1,000. These would qualify for the BLADE transfer promotion.

One thing to remember is that the promotion is open to all Mint bookings. So even if you are heading further afield you can still take advantage of the promotion. We found eligible flights from JFK to London that would also qualify for the promotion.

Finally, it is worth keeping in mind that the promotion works for outbound and inbound flights. So, if you are planning on arriving in JFK from a destination served by JetBlue Mint-enabled aircraft. You can then book the transfer on the inbound flight and take a BLADE transfer from JFK or EWR  to Manhattan.

What BLADE Helicopter Transfers Are Like

If you are based in Manhattan or need to get there, then BLADE Helicopter rides are awesome. As a matter of fact, if It is a nice day and the weather is clear with good visibility, BLADE Helicopter transfers give New Yorkers and tourists alike a unique perspective on the metropolis.

At Oscape, we used a BLADE Helicopter transfer back in October 2023, on the way to a Los Angeles bound JetBlue Mint flight. This was not a paid-for trip but was a Mosaic 4 benefit after a recent status match. This is arguably one of the best perks in the JetBlue program and is very handy if you need to get to and from Manhattan in Flash.

The Oscape experience was fabulous; the overall experience felt very fast and exclusive and had a premium elite feel to it.

The BLADE Helicopter Transfer Experience

Fast is probably the best way to describe the BLADE experience. Door to door, it was one hour from my house door to the JFK T5 door, which included traveling to the BLADE heliport on West 30th street, checking in and grabbing a coffee in the lounge, not to mention the 10-minute flight, and transferring to the JFK terminal.

Truth be told, that day was the perfect day to fly; the weather was clear with awesome visibility. This provided some unique and stunning views of the New York Skyline. The ride provided some great views of the Hudson, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan, and not to mention the JFK airport itself.

Once at JFK, the final transfer is quick, taking about 10 minutes. BLADE handled all the luggage transfers, and the experience was pretty seamless. Yet again, the experience felt very premium and exclusive.

Final Thoughts

A typical BLADE transfer to an area airport will set you back $195, which is not too bad for a private helicopter ride. And the convenience of arriving in the heart of Manhattan. While on the expensive side of things, there is an adage that time is money. Depending on the time of day, taking a BLADE Helicopter transfer can save you a bundle of time getting to and from the airport. If you use this time wisely, then the $195 can seem like a bargain.

While it is awesome for JetBlue to be running such a great offer, there is a small catch. If you want to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity, you will have to hurry because, just like BLADE helicopter transfers, it will be over in a flash.
